The Mar Menor Golf Resort is a safe and well maintained gated resort. It is extremely popular with families, couples and golfers with many guests returning year after year.
Initial construction of the resort started during 2005 until completion some years later and now boasts a very popular established mature golf resort.

Golf Course – Mar Menor Golf Course is an 18 hole, par 72 course. The course was originally opened with 9 holes, but due to its success, Polaris World extended the course into 18 holes which was designed by Jack Nicklaus. Location – Mar Menor Golf Resort is very close to the local town of Torre Pacheco which is in the province of Murcia. The resort is a short 10 minute drive to the local beaches and warm waters of the Mar Menor lagoon and only 15 minutes to the historic city of Cartagena. Murcia city is around 30 minutes by car where you find an abundance of places to visit and explore, including shops, local bars and restaurants.
Murcia City – Murcia is a university city located in south eastern Spain and is the capital of the region also named Murcia. Murcia City is Spain’s 7th major mainland city. Plaza Cardenal Belluga is the city’s architectural showpiece where the ornate cathedral is located. Murcia is highly regarded in Spain for the quality of its museums and theatres. You will also find many major international chains, including IKEA plus a wealth of Spanish brands. Well worth a visit.
La Zenia Boulevard ( shopping) – La Zenia Boulevard is the Costa Blanca’s South biggest shopping mall. A commercial sanctuary for hardcore consumers and casual window shoppers alike, Zenia Boulevard sports a spectacular 161,000m of magnificent retail heaven, including plenty of free underground parking.

Mar Menor Sea – The greatest natural salt water lagoon in Spain can be found in the region. The Mar Menor (Small Sea) lagoon. It is a salt water lagoon, adjacent to the Mediterranean Sea. Its special ecological and natural characteristics make the Mar Menor a unique place and the largest saltwater lake in Europe. With a semi circular shape, it is separated from the Mediterranean Sea by a sand strip 22 kilometres (14 miles) in length which is known as La Manga del Mar Menor. The lagoon has been designated by the United Nations as a ‘Specially Protected Zone of Importance for the Mediterranean’. Its coastal perimeter accounts for 73 kilometres (45 miles) of coast, along which beaches follow one another beside crystal clear shallow water (the maximum depth does not exceed 7 metres (23 ft)). The lake has an area of 170 square kilometres (66 sq miles)
Beaches – With over 200km of sandy beaches stretching from the warm crystal clear waters of the Mar Menor and the Mediterranean beaches of the La Manga Strip, across the craggy cliffs and coves of the Calblanque Natural Park and down to the sweeping bays of the Mediterranean resort of Aguilas, the Costa Calida (warm coast) has a wealth of beaches. Los Alcazares beach is located 10 minutes from Mar Menor Golf Resort. It’s palm lined promenade stretches approximately four kilometres to Los Narejos. Dotted along the Los Alcazares and Los Narejos promenade there are several wooden beach bars “chiringuitos”, where you can relax with a jug of sangria and watch the world go by.
Lo Pagan & Santiago De La Ribera is also situated around 15 minutes from Mar Menor Golf Resort with two stunning sandy beaches, providing hours of safe enjoyment for the whole family. There are parks for the children, tapas bars and seafood restaurants on the beach as well as a wealth of water sports including canoeing, kite surfing etc. From the yacht club in Santiago De La Ribera you can take the ferry to the Tomas Maestre Marina, on the La Manga strip. This is a very pleasant 30 minute journey, and runs every hour.
Airports – Alicante approximately 1 hour – Murcia International Airport around 25 minutes
Medical – There are both public and private medical centres in the town of Torre Pacheco and Los Alcazares. Nearest hospital is Los Arcos which is approximately a 15 min drive.
